Hours:  8 hours/week (Saturday: 10AM-2PM, Monday/Wednesday 5-7 - flexible)
Wage: Grid 7, $20.25 - $23.62/hour

The Opportunity:


DIVERSEcity is seeking a Regular part time Client Support Services Driver. The Client Support Services Driver operates motor vehicles to transport and or/accompany passengers between designated locations.


Responsibilities include:

  • Operates vehicle to transport passengers to and from designated destinations;  
  • Picks up and drops off at designated locations, assists passengers with boarding and disembarking the vehicle as necessary;
  • Interacts with volunteer staff and vulnerable clients;
  • Accompanies and assists clients during outings; 
  • Ensures the safety of passengers by performing duties such as informing passengers of and ensuring compliance with safety precautions, securing restraints and managing problems that arise in accordance to the Policies & Procedures and guidelines;
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding client information; 
  • Keeps track of mileage and submits completed form to Manager and Program Coordinators; 
  • Maintains related records and statistics in accordance with established Policies & Procedures and guidelines;
  • Immediately reports any incidents, accidents or concerns.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • High school Diploma and one (1) year recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training & experience;
  • Valid unrestricted BC Class 4 driver’s license and access to own vehicle;
  • Clean driving record;
  • First-Aid Certification required;
  • Must be physically able to perform the tasks mentioned above.

This position requires union membership.  A Criminal Record Check is a requirement of employment.
