Program Manager, Mens Homeless Shelter

If you prefer a quiet, friendly community with easy access to the outdoor lifestyle, consider coming to Canada’s coolest capital, Iqaluit, where Inuit culture mixes with the multi-cultural flavour of southern cities.  Back country skiing, snowmobiling, fishing, hunting, hiking and four-wheeling to cabin and camp are some of the activities residents enjoy.  As Nunavut’s capital, locals also appreciate the cinema and several dining and entertainment options.

Uquutaq Society is on the leading edge of expanding housing and homelessness services in Iqaluit.  Uquutaq Society has many firsts - the first low barrier shelter, first affordable housing program and the first transitional housing program in Nunavut.  We are re-defining and updating our Men’s Shelter Program.  We are looking to build our team with motivated and energetic individuals who have enthusiasm for providing efficient, respectful and professional service to our clients, as well as for contributing to the organization in this time of development.
