ASSOCIATION OF BUSINESS PROFESSIONALS (NON-UNION EMPLOYEE GROUP)

GROUP “3” – FULL TIME 12 MONTHS POSITION

                                                                                                                    

Reporting to the Supervisor of Labour and Employee Relations, the Administrative Assistant, Labour Relations and Superintendent of Human Resources, provides administrative support for the Labour Relations portfolio and the Superintendent in the day-to-day operations.  They have excellent knowledge of Board policies and procedures, the ability to maintain positive public relations with staff, and outside agencies while operating a functional and efficient office, ensuring the protection of personal information and confidentiality. The hours of work will be determined by the Supervisor in consultation with the successful candidate.

 

Qualifications and Skills required:

  • Post-secondary diploma in Executive Office Administration or related field
  • Advanced secretarial/business training and extensive executive administrative assistant experience, preferably in an HR department and/or Labour Law department.
  • Advanced word processing and records management skills utilizing MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access) and Acrobat Reader DC
  • Demonstrated ability to provide timely and accurate reports for internal and external purposes
  • Proven ability to create accurate meeting notes and minutes
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing database systems, Laserfiche and/or Access an asset
  • Excellent human relations, communication and organizational skills
  • A strong commitment to service
  • Demonstrated professional ethic and sensitivity for the confidential nature of the position   
  • Possess an understanding and appreciation of the mission of a Catholic school system
