Klinic Community Health is seeking a Community Health and Wellness Director to join their team!

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Community Health and Wellness Director is responsible for the leadership and management of programming, including services provided at health care clinics and counselling programs.

As the Community Health and Wellness Director, you will have the opportunity to oversee and manage the Community Health and Counselling Services, including programs, managers, and associated delivery of services in alignment with Klinic’s mission, vision, and values. You will also establish relationships with the community and service agencies, including acting as a liaison with community groups and partners, to develop health promotion strategies utilizing a community development approach.

The Community Health and Wellness Director also represents Klinic at both government and community levels, and is responsible for hiring, performance management, and development planning the direct reports. You will provide advice, guidance, and coaching to staff on program policies, practices, and procedures, as well as review all processes practices to ensure ongoing improvement and efficiency so that Klinic may provide the best services possible to the community.

  • Post-secondary degree in health or related discipline
  • 5-10 years of experience in health services management, or a combination of senior level management and health care experience, including 3 years’ experience in the delivery of community health services in a collaborative practice
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an interdisciplinary setting to facilitate and maintain a collaborative team environment, and liaise with the health and social service community
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong clinical background, with in-depth knowledge of the delivery of community health and counselling services and programming
  • Strong consultative and conflict management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to deal tactfully with sensitive issues in a confidential manner
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain clear Criminal Record Check and Abuse Registry checks
