We are seeking an experienced Dietitian with a passion for helping others. This position works in collaboration with our team to help people move forward in their recovery from an eating disorder, providing individual sessions and occasional workshops. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct individual sessions via a secure virtual platform 
  • Collaborate on a multidisciplinary team with our Therapist and Peer Mentors 
  • Provide clinical expertise to our Program Coordinator and the Peer Support Team 
  • Create welcoming, supportive, and inclusive space for all 
  • Participate in our team meetings, and in ongoing training and monthly Interdisciplinary Rounds offered through our partner organization 

Qualifications: 

  • Be a member in good standing with Nova Scotia Dietetic Association 
  • Preferred 2-4 years of experience working with individuals struggling with eating disorders/disordered eating 
  • Understanding of weight bias and HAES 
  • Able to work independently as a team and provide detailed and accurate reports 
  • Ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced environment 
  • Are curious, solutions-focused, and shudder when they hear the expression “Because we’ve always done it that way.” 
  • Compassionate, creative, and innovative 
  • Carry professional liability insurance 
  • Experience working with youth an asset 

 

Hours are flexible and self-determined. Daytime, evening and/or weekend hours are possible. 

Salary range: $29-$35/hour
