Our mission is to build progressive bases of voters in communities traditionally ignored by mainstream political systems. We need a government that works for the people, not for profit!
Our Election Organizers mobilize low income and working class communities during elections to vote for candidates that represent their interests and will fight for affordable and livable housing, quality public health care, living wages and MORE!
Are you passionate about social and economic justice? Like working with people? Then we need your help this federal election!
We need hard working individuals to do election organizing at the community level in Ottawa to get people engaged in the democratic process. We do this by meeting people where they're at through door to door canvassing.
Each election we survey candidates to find out where they stand on issues impacting low and moderate income households (see federal platform here: https://acorncanada.org/
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
-We are hiring immediately. Training is provided.
-There are multiple positions available.
-Multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
-Pay is $15/hour. This is a part time, hourly position - 15-30 hours/week.
-This project will last until election day on Sept 20th.
-Full time community organizing opportunities available afterwards.
