Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) – Temporary, Full-time 0.80 FTE

We are seeking a RPN who has an interest in or experience with providing the highest quality palliative and end-of-life care. As part of a small cohesive team, the RPN, within the full-scope of practice will provide patient and family-centered care in our hospice residence.
Work Location: Kanata, Hein House at Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice, 110 Cameron Avenue
The Line - the successful candidate will work the following:
Week 1: Days: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday
Week 2: Days: Monday, Tuesday
Evenings: Friday, Saturday
Week 3: Evenings: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
Week 4: Days: Monday, Friday, Saturday

Hospice Care Ottawa is a community-based charitable organization providing high quality end-of-life care for terminally ill people living in Ottawa. Services aim to provide residents and their loved ones with an experience in palliative and end-of-life care which is supportive and peaceful, surrounded by caring that reflects as closely as possible to a comfortable home environment. Hospice Care Ottawa programs include day hospice, home support, family services and residential hospice services. Hospice Care Ottawa relies on and values the contribution of over 700 volunteers who contribute to every aspect of our programs.
Hein House at Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice - opened in September 2017 is a 12-bed hospice residence in west Ottawa - Kanata. It provides round the clock care for people at the end of life, in a home-like and peaceful setting.
