                                                The Mental Wellness branch is currently working remotely until further notice


Terms                                     Term, Full-Time

Hours of Work:                    35 hours per week


Start Date:                            As soon as possible

End Date:                              March 31, 2022, possibility for extension

YMCA Child Care, Western Canada’s largest provider of licensed child care, serves over 2400 children between the ages of 6 weeks and 12 years at over 50 licensed facilities throughout the Lower Mainland.


Nature & Scope:

This position supports the growth and development of the YMCA’s provincial initiatives – with a focus on mental wellness programs – Y Mind and Mind Medicine. The position requires a candidate with great attention to detail, as the work includes coordinating contracts, invoicing and reports to support the Y’s partnership development. The work environment is fast-paced, with connection to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. The incumbent will work closely with staff from Community Health and Mental Wellness to ensure that work aligns across programs that are expanding provincially.


Major Responsibilities:

  • Supports the compilation, tracking and development of memorandum of understanding, contracts and invoices; support to development of proposal responses as needed
  • Maintains ongoing correspondence, database entry and meeting notes with relevant partners to ensure that information is up-to-date and appropriate to the needs of the Association
  • Works with program managers, partners and stakeholders to gather information about ongoing program work and new opportunities to support reporting and proposals
  • Participates in marketing and recruitment strategies to in order to promote provincial expansion of Y Mind and other programs and raise awareness among a variety of stakeholders
  • Coordinates and tracks the delivery of externally funded programs, supports reporting needs under the direction of the Director, Strategic Partnerships



  • Degree or Diploma in Paralegal, Business, Human Resources Management, Social Services, and/or related fields (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, reviewing and editing meeting notes, minutes, contracts, memorandums of understanding and/or budgets to support partnerships
  • Well-developed interpersonal, and relationship building skills; ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with members including community partners, participants, staff and volunteers; excellent written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Office 365, and willingness to learn new programs as needed
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Reference Check/Vulnerable Sector Search issued no later than six (6) months preceding your start date.
