Summary:

Moyo Health and Community Services is a community and AIDS service organization (ASO) in the Peel region that provides a growing array of health promotion, education, social and support services for people living with, affected by, and at systemic risk of HIV for communities in Mississauga, Brampton, and Caledon.

We are seeking to hire a dynamic individual with expertise in leading teams and providing case management, to manage our Support team and deliver high quality care to people living with and at systemic risk of HIV.  This person is also responsible for seeking out and maintaining solid relationships with community partners to ensure clients’ needs are adequately met.

 

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Client support and case management
  • Program development, implementation, and evaluation
  • Staff supervision
  • Partnership engagement, and retention
  • Administrative responsibilities including report writing, data management and capacity development.

 

To be considered, you should possess the following:

  • Post-secondary education in Social Work (BSW, MSW) or Social Service Work (diploma) from a recognized university, OR a relevant degree or post-secondary diploma coupled with equivalent experience in the HIV/AIDS or similar sector
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within the social service sector. Candidates with a minimum of two years management experience are preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HIV/AIDS, STBBIs (Sexually Transmitted Blood Borne Infections) and sexual health issues and the impact of HIV/AIDS on affected communities
  • Minimum of two to three years’ experience with providing counselling and case management to diverse, ethno- racial individuals and families, including 2SLGBTTQI individuals and persons belonging to diverse faith communities
  • Demonstrated experience working with people of varying immigration status and socio-economic background with knowledge of how and where to access relevant resources to meet their needs
  • Knowledge and experience using the OCASE, and OCHART or other data management system is an asset
  • Additional language proficiencies are considered an asset.

 

Program Travel is required for this job; therefore, candidate must have a valid Driver’s License, insurance, and access to a vehicle. Candidate must also possess excellent time management and organizational skills with flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.
