Content Developer (Moodle)-
Occupation-Specific Language and Skills Training for Early Childhood Assistants
The Learning Enrichment Foundation (LEF) is a not-for-profit (with a social enterprise mindset) which provides a multidisciplinary and holistic set of supports for members of our community including those who are: in transition, new to Canada, out of the workforce, and a host of other individual circumstances. We currently knit together Settlement Services, Child Care, Employment Supports, Skills Training, and Language Training.
Those who have joined LEF have found that there is value in the little things as they can have the most impact. For over 40 years, it is through supporting and empowering individuals and families, (indeed the community as a whole) that we achieve our goals.
LEF is a continuously growing organization and as such, any candidate hired into this position should find opportunities for a rewarding career with opportunities for personal and professional growth. Within LEF, we value on-going learning for our teams. All members are provided professional learning opportunities to build and foster skills, promoting leadership skills in each individual. For more information about the Learning Enrichment Foundation, please visit our website at www.lefca.org
LEF is launching an online Occupation-Specific Language and Skills Training program for Early Childhood Assistants. The program will consist of designing, delivering and testing a language and skills training program that will enhance skills of newcomers currently working in childcare settings, or that have recently been laid-off and wish to re-enter the field.
We are looking for a Content Developer with experience in creating and maintaining learning management systems based on Moodle. This position will be accountable for working with a curriculum developer to develop occupation-specific language training e-units for Early Childhood Assistants. This will include reviewing and adapting LEF’s existing Early Childhood Assistant training curriculum, enhancing the curriculum with occupation-specific language training and adapting it for online delivery.
The Content Developer will be working with a dedicated team of professionals who are highly committed to our community and who support employment and settlement needs, develop employer and community partnerships, and are all strong leaders in their fields of expertise. LEF offers a progressive, innovative, and supportive culture with opportunities for career development as we continue to grow.
