Position Overview

Job Position:                                              Marketing Coordinator (1 Temporary position)

Number of weeks:                                     17 weeks

Hours per week:                                        12hrs

Salary:                                                         $18.00/hr

Reporting to:                                              Director, Strategic Initiatives or designate

Location:                                                    Virtual – anywhere in B.C.

 

This position, as a requirement of the Federal Government Summer Jobs program, is only open to youth under 30 years of age

 

Description:  

Are you looking for an opportunity to apply your marketing education in a real-life situation to help build your portfolio?  We are looking for an individual for an exciting opportunity to develop a marketing strategy and evaluation plan that will increase the uptake of education and practice support resources for health care providers in British Columbia. 

 

Who you will be working for:

 

The BC Centre for Palliative Care (BC-CPC) works with partners in the health system and community to accelerate the spread of innovations and best practices in palliative care. We strive to help British Columbians affected by serious illnesses have the best possible quality of life possible, supported by care that reflects their goals and wishes

 

Responsibilities:

  • Identify target audiences
  • Develop marking strategy
  • Carry out promotional campaigns
  • Evaluate effectiveness of marketing using website analytics, focus groups and/or surveys

Education/Work Experience:  

  • Students who are currently enrolled in or have completed a Bachelor's degree in Marketing & Communications, Engagement, public relations or in a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Work experience in healthcare and/or non-profit sector an asset

Personal Suitability:

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, a passion for learning, and a highly collaborative mindset
  • Ability to act independently and apply creative problem-solving to analyze project processes and make sound recommendations
  • Highly developed communication skills to function within a complex interdisciplinary environment
  • The successful individual must be a self-starter and be able to work with limited supervision
  • Strong computer literacy with Office 365, online platforms such as Zoom and Teams, word-processing, spreadsheets, presentations.
