We're looking for someone who will:

  • Provide career assessments and counselling for clients with a range of educational and occupational backgrounds
  • Work with individuals with Learning and Developmental Disabilities
  • Review and interpret results of assessments and tools; write reports outlining the findings/results
  • Develop and support clients’ Individual Career Plans
  • Provide individual and group counselling
  • Develop new assessment batteries and program packages
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team

Flexible hours/ evenings/ weekends may be required for this position.

 

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master's degree in Counselling Psychology, Adult Education, or a related field
  • Compliance with Canadian Standards & Guidelines for Career Development Practitioners
  • 1-2 years of Counselling experience
  • Working knowledge of career assessment tools
  • Strong ability to use counselling techniques
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a variety of personality types, cultural backgrounds, and vocational barriers
  • Computer literate; the ability to learn systems used by the agency (i.e. SalesForce)
  • A clear Vulnerable Sector Check is required for this position
