The Edmonton Garrison Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) is a charitable, non-profit organization that provides programs and services to military families.The MFRC is accepting resumes for the following two positions:
Family Support Social Workers (2) – General & Child and Youth
Each position is responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, evaluation and direct service delivery of crisis intervention and mental health and wellness services to military families within their programming area. This includes: initial and continued contact with families; screening/assessment and referrals; short term counselling; crisis intervention/support; group work; program development and facilitation; emergency response to critical incidents.
Applicants must have a Bachelor of Social Work with 3 years related experience working with children/youth and families and must be eligible for registration within the ACSW.
Additional Requirements: Experience working with families in crisis; experience using strength-based and client-centered practices; possess exceptional communication and organizational skills; must be able to work flexible hours (including evenings and weekends). Preference will be given to those individuals who are bilingual in French and English.
