We are seeking a highly motivated, team-orientated individual to join our Registry team as an Office Assistant.

Reporting to the Deputy Registrar, the primary objective of the role is to perform a variety of clerical duties to support the Central registry team.



  • Prepare and mail out citizenship cards
  • Scan applications and documents into virtual files
  • Provide administrative and clerical support such as emailing, mailing, scanning, printing, faxing, and photocopying, as well as responding to inquiries and other correspondence.
  • Perform data entry on various projects
  • Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos, and emails.


  • High school diploma or equivalency; completion of one (1) year or more of post-secondary schooling is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Proven ability to use Microsoft Office applications such as word, excel and outlook and other


  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Experience working in an office and team environment is an asset



  • As per Canada Summer Jobs criteria, candidates must be;
    • between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at start of employment
    • a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or a person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
    • legally entitled to work according to BC legislation and regulation.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed to help ensure the efficient operation of MNBC
  • There will be a need to attend meetings and events which may require work and travel outside of the normal business hours
  • Ability to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check
