Position summary:

The Program Assistant works as part of our team that supports the Foundry Surrey, offering young people ages 12-24 health and wellness resources, services and supports, and other youth-specific PCRS programs. The Program Assistant will be providing administrative support to up to three different programs at PCRS and will need to have skills including the ability to multitask, prioritize work and good time management skills to balance and meet various deadlines. The Program Assistant will be detailed oriented, organized and a very good communicator. As a member of our team,   the Program Assistant will provide administrative support to all leadership tables, including the executive, community, family and youth tables.

Primary Duties:

  • Provide administrative and technical support to the varied teams who support youth and families in the community of Surrey
  • Provide administrative support to the daily activities of the programs
  • Participate in supporting the achievement of our participant identified goals
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and staff, and participate in a team effort
  • Other program-related duties as required

Academic and Job Experience Required:

·         A minimum of three years of administrative experience is required

·         Experience with youth or mental health services is an asset

·         As English skills for proof-reading are essential, a second language is an asset

·         Advanced computer skills are essential; the successful applicant will be proficient in MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and desktop publishing

·         Experience working with varied platforms such as social media and Miro is an asset

·         High level of verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills

·         An understanding of trauma-informed practice is beneficial

·         Training or experience working as an MOA is an asset

·         Experience creating and working within a culturally inclusive environment for staff, partners and participants

Basic Requirements:

  • Criminal record check including the vulnerable sector




Salary Range:           $21.65/hour – $23.88/hour
