We are currently seeking a Job Developer that will work with local employers to develop training, placement and job opportunities for our diverse client base.  The Job Developer focuses on the strengths of each client, develops positive relationships with employers and creates innovative solutions to fill local positions.  The Job Developer also provides ongoing support and monitoring for all parties to facilitate successful, long-term employment.

 

Although experience as a Job Developer is preferred, we will also consider candidates with experience in human resources, marketing, business management, counselling and social/human services.  Completion of post-secondary education in any of those disciplines is required.

 

The following are additional qualifications we are seeking:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Highly organized with attention to detail, the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize appropriately;
  • Excellent skills in MS Office programs and ability to learn specialized software as required;
  • Counselling/coaching skills;
  • Understanding of how disability, life circumstances and values impact employability and career development;
  • Understanding of common business practices and employer needs;
  • Ability to analyze current occupational and labour market information;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop positive, professional relationships;
  • Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member;
  • Experience facilitating groups; and
  • Must have valid Ontario driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.

All new employees of EPC must provide proof of vaccination and clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of employment.
