PCRS is seeking a Youth Outreach Settlement Worker fluent in Dari, Pashto, and/or Farsi for the REACH Program for Youth. The successful candidate will empower and support newcomer youth ages 13-24 to overcome their challenges created by cultural and background differences. They will provide individual outreach support, in-depth assessment and one-to-one work with multi-barrier youth based on individual needs. Youth are initially identified as struggling due to multiple barriers and facing social isolation, pre-arrival trauma experience, and interruption in schooling. The position requires a solid working knowledge of the issues newcomers face arriving in Canada. This includes but is not limited to an understanding of the settlement process and the English Language Learner system in Canada.
