CFSPD is currently seeking a Clinical Supervisor who will assist the Program Manager in the development, implementation, and day-to-day operation of the clinical program. The Clinical Supervisor will provide individual and group supervision to therapists and interns in relation to their clinical work with clients and their own development as clinicians. The incumbent will also carry a small caseload of clients.
The candidate would have a master’s degree in a related field (e.g. social work, counseling psychotherapy, psychology, etc.), extensive experience providing individual, couple, family and group therapy on a wide range of clinical issues and a strong ability to meaningfully integrate therapeutic theory and practice. In addition, the candidate will have the training and significant experience in providing clinical supervision to individuals and groups. High competence in the use of single-session consultations and brief/solution-oriented therapy is an asset.
Provide clinical supervision, consultation and training to staff, and interns.
Offer individual, couple, family and group therapy, dealing with a wide range of clinical issues including complex trauma, abuse, mental health, crisis, and addiction.
Maintain and strengthen collaborative relationships with community partners.
Represent agency to further collaborate with community partners on various projects and initiatives as assigned
Develop and update program curriculum and tools for programs.
Provide clinical supervision for group facilitators
Other duties as assigned.
Master’s level degree in psychotherapy, social work, psychology or related field is required.
Must be registered, or eligible for registration with a professional college (e.g. OCSWSSW, or CRPO)
Experienced clinical supervisor with five or more years of clinical experience
Thorough knowledge of trauma therapeutic skills and experience working with domestic violence and adult survivors of childhood abuse.
Solid understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence and how they affect all members of the family
Excellent risk assessment skills when working with victim’s of domestic violence
Experience working with children who have been effected by violence
Commitment to a pro-feminist anti-oppression framework
Demonstrated understanding working from a Trauma informed framework
Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with community partners
Excellent clinical documentation and computer skills
Fluency in another language an asset
A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening check
Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
Willing to work within a Catholic values framework
