Position Title: Community Services Coordinator

Reports to: Hub Manager (Artscape Wychwood Barns and Artscape Youngplace)

Department: Community Services 

 

Position Summary:         

The Community Services and Programming Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Hub Manager of Artscape Wychwood Barns and Artscape Youngplace in providing excellent customer service and tenant relations support as well as assisting in coordinating the Artscape Hallway Gallery Program.  The role will be divided equally between Artscape Wychwood Barns and Artscape Youngplace with onsite duties at each location. 

 

About the Hallway Galleries:

The Hallway Gallery program provides affordable that are attainable for emerging and young artists located at Artscape Weston Common, Artscape Youngplace and Daniels Spectrum. This role will assist with supporting the execution of the gallery program at each location. 

 

Major Responsibilities:

Service Delivery

  1. Support the Hub Manager in responding to tenant and owner inquires as the first point of contact for both locations. 
  • Direct the inquires to the appropriate staff member/department 
  • Respond in accordance to Artscape policies and procedures
  1. Works with exhibition clients within the Hallway Gallery program and conducts onsite visits, promotional support, administrative support including creating contracts, event logistics and other associated tasks. 
  2. Prepare and maintain internal hub specific communications including weekly building newsletters, event calendars, building updates

 

Client/Stakeholder Relationships

  1. Foster and maintain meaningful, trusting and collaborative relationship with tenants and owners at each respective building to understand programming needs, identifying areas of support where Artscape can further assist tenants/owners and their initiatives          
  2. With the support of the Hub Manager, coordinate and support internal and external community events at each hub including organizing logistics, administrative support, event support, marketing and promotions and other assigned tasks. 

 

Problems and Organization Solutions/Opportunity/Risks

  1. Provide administrative support to develop clear communication lines between Artscape and tenant/owner communities

 

Decisions and Impact

  1. Provide input to improve existing programs including hallway galleries, tenant/owner events, community programming etc. 
  2. Research and identify opportunities for the owner/tenant communities 

 

Other similar or related duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications:

Technical Skills, Competencies, and Knowledge

  • 1-3 years experience in arts and culture, customer service and administration; working within the not-for-profit sector is considered an asset 
  • Demonstrated passion and commitment for Artscape’s mission and vision 

Transferable/ Enabling Skills, Competencies, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Excellent customer service experience
  • Experience working in a multi task collaborative environment 
  • Ability to work in multiple locations and occasionally flexible schedules
  • Experience or training with de-escalation in a customer service setting

Hiring Range: 43100.00 - 43729.20

Salary Range: 41300.00 - 55876.00
