Family Services Employee Assistance Program (FSEAP) provides clinical counselling services to employees of client organizations who may be experiencing problems in their personal, family, or work lives. In addition, the program provides a variety of organizational services to its corporate clients, including workplace consulting and training, and critical incident stress management responses. As a social enterprise of Family Services of Greater Vancouver (FSGV), FSEAP is a fee-generating business, with all of its profits going to support the larger work of FSGV and the Greater Vancouver community.



The Network coordinator manages, coordinates, and helps develop our contracted counsellour (affiliate) network and supports our national network. The key objectives of this position are to support the vision of FSEAP being the affiliate provider network of choice for providers working in the EAP sector and ensure affiliate coverage meets service demands. Additionally, the role supports the growing needs of the program by providing input and participating in implementing program planning, program development, and quality assurance initiatives. It actively supports the Agency’s awareness and goals around diversity and inclusion.



Education, Training and Experience: 

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field, with 1-2 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Previous experience in counselling, psychology, social work, human resources, or related fields would be an asset, as would previous EAP experience

Affiliate Network Development: Recruitment, Onboarding & Training

  • Work with Program management to define the partnership and affiliate recruitment strategy and adjust as needed
  • Maintain and develop a network of affiliate counsellors that meets the program needs in regard to number of counsellors, diversity, clinical backgrounds, geographical locations, populations worked with, language and training/experience as per current contract requirements, reported client requests, and RFP requirements.
  • Recruit new affiliate counsellors to fill identified gaps in need by maintain/update recruitment job, contacting providers listed on registering body websites, follow up on client requests for specific counsellors to join network.
  • Support Clinical Management in responding to organization feedback, complaints, report requests or concerns regarding affiliate network coverage
  • Work in collaboration with other regional FSEAP affiliate managers to maintain and grow the national affiliate network in BC/Yukon as required for other FSEAP MCH’s

Affiliate Network Maintenance: Communication & Performance Management

  • Develop affiliate newsletters and/or other communication tools
  • Maintain affiliate records regularly
  • Facilitate quality assurance and periodic meetings with affiliates, as determined by accreditation standards, to review service data and provide strategic direction to clinical affiliates regarding performance standards and goals.
  • Provide ongoing consultation, guidance, and support for affiliates regarding policy, protocols, clinical processes, EAP systems and billing practices
  • Monitor, review and follow up on affiliate counsellors’ performance including appropriate use of SMART goals, appropriate reporting language is used and all case files submitted is up to standards through completion/review of file audits and provide feedback as needed

Work Hours: Permanent Full Time – 35 hours per week


Salary - GS 11 - $ 2,114.70 bi-weekly salary with benefits after successful completion of probationary period


Location: Our head office is in the culturally vibrant Vancouver neighbourhood of Commercial Drive & East Broadway. Once training is complete, work may be done partially from home but at least 2 days a week will need to be in office.
