Who we are: Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids (BB4CK) is a mission-focused grassroots organization, working to build and strengthen communities that ensure every child has enough to eat at school. Our team is small, working together in our areas of strength to ensure we can have broad impact in our community.
Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids has increased the number of hungry kids fed daily through its programs by almost 70% since 2015. To accomplish this increased impact, BB4CK has broadened its program delivery through community partnerships and a focus on encouraging and supporting people in Calgary to act in meaningful ways to feed kids. Today, BB4CK continues to grow and transition to achieve our goal of no hungry kids. This is an exciting and challenging time in our organizational life, as we continue to meet the growing need in our community, while also focusing our efforts on strengthening our systems and processes to support our growing organization.

Job Purpose: This role is responsible for working closely with the Financial Specialist in the administration of accounting processes within the Finance Team, in adherence with the organization’s financial policies and procedures. The Financial Coordinator ensures that regular submissions for payroll, expenses and additional payables are delivered on-time and accurately.

The successful candidate is a detailed and diligent worker. This role requires flexibility, a desire to create order and support structure, and an ability to respond quickly and intuitively to situations that arise.

BB4CK’s COVID 19 Vaccination Policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated if they wish to or are required to visit our Central Kitchen and/or other congregate settings in fulfilling the responsibilities of their role.
**This role requires occasional attendance in our kitchens and/or congregate setting, the successful candidate must be fully vaccinated (IE. have received all doses that are recommended by Health Canada, including any boosters) and must provide BB4CK with proof of vaccination.
