We are seeking a Campaign Organizer to support the University-Rosedale Provincial NDP constituency association and Jessica Bell’s upcoming re-election campaign. We are looking for a candidate with experience executing successful outreach campaigns with an emphasis on volunteer training, canvassing, phone banking, and social media updates. If you have worked on successful political campaigns before, that’s a bonus! The contract will begin early February 2022 and will extend for 13 weeks from the start date, leading up to the provincial election.



We are the Ontario NDP constituency association serving Toronto’s vibrant University-Rosedale electoral district. We are a group of volunteers working towards the re-election of our candidate, the incumbent JESSICA BELL.




  • Working with the Outreach & Engagement Coordinator, the Election Planning Committee (EPC), and volunteers to execute an engagement plan, including campaign goals
  • Analyzing campaign progress and recommending refinements


  • Weekly canvassing and phone banking with our provincial candidate Jessica Bell
  • Helping run canvasses and communicating with volunteers
  • Training new volunteers and brainstorming recruitment ideas
  • Designing and writing social media shareables


  • Updating contact information for constituents using Populus and CallHub 



The Campaign Organizer will be accountable to the Outreach & Engagement Coordinator and the Election Planning Committee (EPC). 

We anticipate the Campaign Organizer will dedicate twenty-five hours a week for these responsibilities at a rate of $25/hour, with some weeks being busier than others. Our weekly budget for this position is $625.

Given the nature of our work, we will require strict confidentiality. The successful candidate will sign a confidentiality agreement. All staff and volunteers must agree to our Anti-Harassment and Discrimination Agreement.



  • Experience in canvassing, phone banking & organizing
  • Excellent written communication and design skills
  • Painstaking attention to detail
  • Superior self-organization and ability to coordinate multiple projects with minimal supervision
  • Relationship-building skills for cooperation and coordination between volunteers and staff at all levels
  • Sharp political acumen
  • Dedication to our goals of a greener, fairer, more just and prosperous society
  • Experience in or knowledge of the Ontario NDP an asset
  • Flexible hours to meet with volunteers evenings and weekends as required
  • You will be required to use your own computer and phone 
  • Knowledge of another language spoken in University-Rosedale considered an asset (Portuguese, Italian, Mandarin or Cantonese)
  • Proof of vaccination required
