One of the fastest growing branches of CMHA, the Canadian Mental Health Association York Region and South Simcoe (CMHA-YRSS) provides 30+ mental health and addiction programs to adults, youth (age 12+), family caregivers, local businesses and community organizations. Salary: The starting salary for this role is $54,800.00 per annum.
Location: The Hybrid Work Plan developed for this role presently requires this position to work in a combination of work from home and work on site with equipment provided by CMHA.
The successful candidate will have an opportunity to discuss this arrangement with the program manager and will work from the Nemarket Office located at 1101 Nicholson Rd, Unit 5, Newmarket, Ontario on the days of on-site work. The successful candidate may be required to travel extensively within York Region & South Simcoe for staff training or meetings .
The Donor Engagement Officer is a full-time position that is responsible for raising funds through a diverse portfolio of revenue streams including direct response, monthly/recurring giving programs, signature and community events, peer-to-peer giving, community giving, gaming, and in memory/in honour programs to acquire, retain, and upgrade annual donors. The position is also responsible for feeding the major and planned giving pipelines. The Donor Engagement Officer will work closely with the Senior Director, Philanthropy to refine and execute an ongoing and meaningful donor stewardship and recognition program.
In addition to compliance with all organizational policies and procedures, the incumbent is also expected to behave ethically, demonstrate competence in effective communication and team building, demonstrate effectiveness in working in a collaborative environment, and demonstrate confidence in decision-making and in building relationships.
