full time - term / contract  •  $19.00-$20.00/hr

As an Outreach Coordinator, you will manage the communications and outreach functions at Frontlines. Additionally, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing promotion materials to inform and educate the public, media, and other specified audiences about Frontlines and its campaigns and programs. You will also work with the Fundraising team to design and execute outreach activities that further increase the outcomes and impact of Frontlines’ programs and services.

 

Key responsibilities include: 

Conduct FACE to FACE outreach including street outreach, door to door outreach, schools outreach, malls outreach (COVID protocols in place)

Develop outreach and communication materials including newsletters, brochures, social media posts, video content, etc.

Develop and implement strategies to help promote Frontlines and its campaigns

Maintain good relationships with relevant media contacts, donors, clients

Regularly update Frontlines’ website and its Calendar

Recruitment of children and youth for Frontlines’ programs and camps  

Assist children and youth with social issues by connecting them and their families to resources

Assist with special activities and events (i.e. fundraisers). 

Prepare reports, presentations and press materials

Build relationships by providing positive role modeling to children, youth and staff.

Work well in collaboration with fundraising and event planning teams

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Curious and quick learner
  • Fun and enthusiastic
  • Demonstrated experience of excellence in community engagement and outreach 
  • Demonstrated experience working in multi-ethnic, high-density, urban communities
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills
  • Familiarity with online platforms and design software: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Wordpress, Tiktok, Canva
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills 
  • Valid Driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract and access to a vehicle is an asset
  • Lived experience similar to the youth that we serve is considered an asset
  • Vaccine policy exists at Frontlines. Please ask or identify in your cover letter and resume

Education: 

  •  Diploma or degree preferred in Marketing, Community Development, Journalism and other related fields

Conditions of Employment: 

The successful candidate must provide a police reference check clearance (vulnerable sector)
