Catholic Family Services of Hamilton (CFS) is a nonprofit, multi-service agency providing counselling, case management, education and support to families, couples and individuals living in Hamilton, Halton and the surrounding area. We offer a warm, collaborative, and mission-focused work environment that will provide you with the opportunity to have a lasting, positive impact on your community.

In the PAR Coordinator role, you will be responsible for the initial contact with all Partner Assault Response (PAR) Program referrals to CFS. Collaborating with community stakeholders such as Probation & Parole Officers, Hamilton Police Services, Domestic Violence Court personnel, Child Protection workers and team members, you will facilitate streamlined program administration.

Assessing and screening clients you will explore, in a sensitive manner, the nature of the request for service, identifying issues that are not appropriate for our services and make referrals to other programs/agencies or resources in the community. You will schedule PAR client appointments in the clinical counsellors’ calendars and participate in safety assessment and safety planning for callers at risk for violence. You will develop and maintain an inventory of internal and external resources for clients.

Strict adherence to timelines stipulated in PAR standards and agency policies pertaining to communication regarding program enrollment, attendance and completion to referral source is a crucial part of this job. You will be responsible for performing client follow-up and evaluation as well as data tracking and reporting regarding referral activity and will also support registration of training and education events.

This position requires a highly organized, self-directed, and detail-oriented individual with a bachelor’s degree in a related field and equivalent work experience. You have knowledge and understanding of community resources and criminal justice services and can work independently in a fast-paced environment.

You have outstanding communication and customer service skills; you excel in empathetic and active listening skills and understand the responsibility regarding confidentiality and boundaries. You are proficient at timely and accurate client documentation and managing reports and statistical information. Proficiency in French language is an asset.
