The Position:

In support of the Vision, Mission and Values of LutherCare Communities, we have an immediate opportunity for a casual administrative support person at our Luther Special Care Home location, the successful applicant will be responsible to: 

  • Provide administrative services
  • Order products and coordinate shipments
  • Enter, analyze and investigate material counts
  • Create and send vendor quality notifications and then follow-up with vendors
  • Receive and distribute supplies
  • Investigate and solve receiving issues
  • Reconcile invoices
  • Identify and report system defects
  • Assist in identifying and studying improvement ideas
  • Greet visitors and assist them with their requests
  • Answer the phone and re-direct calls
  • Basic computer skills, where required by the job
  • Interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good attendance required

The Applicant:

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good organizational and administrative skills
  • Detail-orientated problem-solving nature
  • Ability to work effectively with seniors
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Basic medical terminology and knowledge of medical supplies
  • Ability to work independently
  • Previous experience in computerized supply chain environment preferred


  • Grade 12 Education
