CityKidz is a non-profit, Christian organization dedicated to increasing resiliency and inspiring big dreams for Canadian children living in low-income communities by providing inspirational experiences and nurturing personal relationships, one child at a time.


CityKidz youth programs offer love, acceptance, and growth opportunities for youth aged 12 to 17 who have graduated from our children’s programming. Through a combination of inspirational experiences and access to positive youth mentors, youth learn important life skills, can articulate, and pursue their dreams, and thrive in their environment. Reporting to the Associate Director, the Coordinator of Youth Programs is responsible for the design, delivery, and evaluation of all youth programs and, for achieving the youth program objectives and the goals of each youth program activity.


  • Oversee the creation of the annual youth program plan in alignment with organizational strategy
  • Oversee the implementation of all youth program activities.
  • Implement the evaluation and assessment framework for all youth program activities
  • Develop the youth program curriculum
  • Develop and improve youth program structures and systems
  • Facilitate positive connections with youth
  • Coordinate responses to situations of need or crisis
  • Analyze, respond, and manage program risks
  • Ensure that all program policies and procedures are followed
  • Coordinate all communication with youth program stakeholders 
  • Oversee and enhance the training and performance of staff and volunteers assigned to youth programs
  • Coordinate logistics, resources, and schedules
  • Coordinate the promotion, recruitment, and registration of participants
  • Oversee the youth programs approved budget
  • Produce accurate and timely reports including but not limited to program metrics, goals, objectives, meeting notes, incident reports and testimonials for marketing purposes
  • Attend and participate in department and organizational meetings.

Qualifications and Demonstrated Skills:

  • Comfortable working in a faith-based organization
  • Demonstrated team player with a high level of integrity
  • Commitment to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
  • Associates Degree in job related field, such as education, social work, recreation
  • Three years or more of youth program coordination and supervision experience
  • Effective program administration skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software
  • Excellent organization, task, and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Strong problem solving, training, and personal management skills.
  • Must have initiative and the ability to follow through with little direct supervision
  • Ability to make positive connections and relationships with youth and mentors.
  • Ability to facilitate dynamic and engaging youth events
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams, staff, and volunteers
  • Willing to work some evenings and weekends
  • Strong passion for the mission of CityKidz.
  • Valid G Class driver's license and access to transportation
