St. Martin’s Manor Early Learning Centre offers high quality early learning programs in a play-based environment for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
The Registered Early Childhood Educator is responsible for the provision of high-quality care to children in a supportive and nurturing environment. You will develop and implement quality early learning and interactive programming to promote healthy child development, parenting programs to support young parents and caregivers of children and model positive parenting skills. Important aspect of the role is to provide information and client referrals to programs and services that are available for families and young children in the community.
This position requires a highly motivated and self-directed professional with a diploma in Early Childhood Education and registration, in good standing, with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
To be successful in this role, you should have knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practice as well as the ability to build relationships with families. Knowledge of Infant Mental Health, working with children with special needs and at-risk families is an asset.
You have outstanding communication and problem-solving skills in a multi-disciplinary team environment. You are non-judgmental, caring and empathetic with a respect for diversity in the workplace. You have current Standard First Aid and CPR certification and are able to successfully complete a police clearance with a Vulnerable Sector Screen. You are required to obtain a medical clearance with up to date immunizations. CPI training (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) and proficiency in French language are an asset.
