 Join our team of dedicated and caring team of staff and volunteers who are passionate about providing the highest quality of hospice palliative and end-of-life care!

The Position:  As a PSW, you will work as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, volunteers and staff to provide care to our residents according to their care plan, providing support and assistance to the resident and their families and/or caregivers and contributing to provide a home-like, peaceful environment.

Your Qualifications: We are looking for PSW’s who possess the following:

Casual Availability:

  • Work 4 shifts/month minimum
  • Able to work Evenings, Nights and Weekends

Education:

  • Personal Support Worker Certificate/Diploma
  • Current CPR Certification
  • LEAP for PSW’s Certification (Learning Essential Approaches to Palliative Care) or willingness to obtain within 1 year of employment

Experience:

  • 1-year of experience working in hospice palliative or long-term care is preferred

Skills:

  • Demonstrate a patient-focused approach to care and ability to work with families/caregivers
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Physical ability and stamina to provide personal and clinical care to residents throughout an 8-hour shift
  • Possess excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written
  • Bilingualism in both official languages is an asset
