ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a highly motivated, team-orientated individual to join our Ministry of Economic Development & Natural Resources team as a Natural Resources Consultation Coordinator . Reporting to the Senior Director, the primary purpose of the Natural Resources Consultation Coordinator(s) is to engage with: industry and government, various MNBC Regions, Chartered communities, Citizens, and other organizations throughout various consultation processes in British Columbia. The Natural Resources Consultation Coordinator(s) will work within the Ministry of Economic Development & Natural Resources and will collaborate with the Ministry of Environmental Protection & Métis Rights.
MNBC desires a practical consultation process, with government and industrial partners, that avoids or minimizes impacts on Métis rights and land use and creates economic opportunities for Métis Citizens. Our objective is to build a Métis specific approach which will improve working relationships throughout the province. The recently updated MNBC consultation process is intended to produce better communication, stronger relationships, and easier resolution of issues between government, industry, and MNBC, including Chartered Communities. Following the MNBC Consultation Guidelines, the Natural Resources Consultation Coordinator will assist MNBC to achieve these goals.
