Assistant Finance Manager

Surrey Association for Community Living is looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to provide all administrative support and office services to the Finance Manager.

Duties include and are not limited to the following: 

  • Assists the Finance Manager in organization and planning
  • Assists in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the department
  • Ensures timely and accurate processing of Union and non-Union payroll
  • Effective correspondence/communication with staff to ensure all records are current
  • Works in conjunction with programs to ensure all staff and contractors are paid
  • Review of staff schedules and assisting with revisions maintained in Excel spreadsheets and Payworks
  • Proofing and confirming appropriate form/documents are complete to process requests for vacation, sick, leaves of absences etc.
  • Assists with completing monthly review of accounts payable and maintains accurate records and files
  • Provides other additional tasks as assigned

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Sound Computer skills, good knowledge of Payworks, Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams)
  • High level of attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong Interpersonal, oral & written communication skills
  • Previous payroll, accounting experience
  • Position available now
