JOB OPPORTUNITY
Project Manager (sub contract)
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Ottawa Riverkeeper is seeking a Project Manager to assist with the fit-up of a 5,100 square foot leased space in one of Ottawa’s iconic riverside buildings. 504 Sir George Etienne Cartier Parkway, managed by the National Capital Commission (NCC), has recently undergone a thorough renovation. Ottawa Riverkeeper will occupy just over 5,100 square feet for our operations. We have already engaged a construction company to carry our base fit-up and our drawings have been submitted to tender. But that’s just a start!
Ottawa Riverkeeper is a champion and collective voice for the Ottawa River watershed, providing leadership and inspiration to protect, promote, and improve its ecological health and future. Learn more about our organization at ottawariverkeeper.ca.
River House will be a hub for collaboration - a place to share, teach, and connect. A catalyst for restoration, reconciliation, heritage and stewardship projects. A place where future water leaders will be nurtured, mentored and inspired through experiential learning at River School. A nexus for scientific innovation and data collection.
River House will provide a dynamic new homebase for Ottawa Riverkeeper and help to build our role as a trusted watershed advocate, educator and convener, and help ensure a legacy to swim, drink and fish Canadian waters for generations to come.
Ottawa Riverkeeper’s leased space will be part of a new, publicly-accessible destination in the heart of Canada’s National Capital Region where visitors can engage, discover, and connect with the Ottawa River and its Watershed.
We’re looking for an outstanding Project Manager who is organised, has a keen eye for details, and has led and managed projects from start to finish – on time and on budget. You’re good at building strong, trusting relationships and have a knack for bringing the right people together to come up with innovative ideas and solutions.
In this role, you'll be working alongside our staff, our sub-contracted construction firm, the architect, and the NCC.
This opportunity requires someone based in (or willing to travel regularly to) Ottawa/Gatineau.
