As such, we continually seek sustainable housing solutions that are supported by excellence in service delivery and research, and take into account social, financial and environmental impacts.

Our Human Resources Branch plays a mission-critical role within this complex environment by ensuring that BC Housing has a qualified, committed and engaged workforce in place to deliver on its mandate. As an Employee Engagement Specialist, you’ll contribute to the achievement of business objectives by supporting the development, implementation, coordination and improvement of a broad range of employee programs and initiatives.

Bringing an understanding of the principles and practices of employee engagement and communication, you’ll work with a fast-moving and highly collaborative team to build and deliver programs designed to improve the employee experience, foster connection, and build a strong and inclusive culture.

A skilled and experienced communicator, you’ll write and edit creative and innovative communications materials, translating complex programs, policies and organizational priorities into materials and messaging that are engaging, relevant and accessible for a broad range of employees.

You’ll coordinate the employee engagement survey process. Championing feedback and dialogue, you’ll develop processes for cross-branch input and collaboration using your understanding of employee engagement frameworks and principles of equity, diversity and inclusion.

You’ll also focus on HR’s equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging initiatives, including supporting employee resource groups and coordinating training and learning opportunities.

With a balance of creative thinking and attention to detail, you’ll coordinate processes to gather input and develop reports, presentations, and action plans.

Reporting to, and working closely with, the Manager, Employee Engagement, you’ll collaborate with colleagues both within HR and throughout the organization, building solid relationships and providing people-centred ideas, support and service on initiatives and programs.

While some in-office days in our Burnaby location will be required, a primarily work-from-home arrangement is available but not mandatory. Let’s discuss what works!
