Urban Ink Producer 

Urban Ink is seeking expressions of interest for a permanent Full time Producer. The Urban Ink team has a flexible work culture; the Producer will be expected to work from home, in office or in person at events, as required. We’re looking for a Producer to support our work in ways including:

Project Management: 

• Overseeing aspects of pre-production, production, and post-production of our work,
• Works closely with the Production team to determine and meet the necessary supports and special needs of each production, including staffing and logistics, 
• Manages timelines for the production, working with all departments, 
• Develop and manage the production budgets in collaboration with management team, 
• Oversee production payrolls, payables and maintain a payment schedule, 
• Negotiates and issues contracts for artists, designers, contractors, and other production personnel, and ensures all contractual paperwork is received. 
• Supervising project cast and crew who report to the Producer

ARTIST LIAISON 

• Manages the engagement and leads communication the company and artists/contractors,
  
  

ADMINISTRATION 

• Manages payables ensuring correct account coding and submitting of payables, 
• Manages the production shared file folders (google drive) and all production paperwork 
• General administration tasks as assigned by the Artistic Director
•  

OTHER 

• Fosters and maintains a positive working relationship with Unions / associations and ensures compliance to collective agreements with the support of the Managing Director, 
• Oversee the health and safety of production activity. 

About You

You are someone who enjoys details and getting things done. You’re a problem solver, self starter, and creative thinker, motivated by social change. You’re got producing or arts admin experience and are open to exploring new ways of working. You have experience in, and/or are passionate about the performing arts and supporting artistic and production personnel. You also have:

Compensation

Annual Salary is $46,800, and Health and Dental Benefits coverage for you and your family. Flexibility and/or alternatively hourly engagements considered. Starting with 2 weeks vacation per year, in addition to a 2 weeks paid closure over the winter holidays.
