We do this through our programs which include Employment Support, Friendship Circles, Life Skills Program, and our Adult and Children’s Respite Program where assisted activities lead to independence, personal growth, and self-reliance.

At North Shore ConneXions Society, our amazing team of Residential Care Workers supports clients with disabilities through all their daily living activities. This includes personal care, medication administration, behaviour management, housekeeping and participating in activities around the house and in the community.

Qualifications:

- Class 4 or 5 BC Driver’s License with a suitable driver’s abstract

- Tuberculosis screening

- Medical clearance (we will provide the form to you)

- Emergency or Standard First Aid with CPR/AED training

- Criminal Record Check

- must be fully vaccinated against COVID 19

Duties:

• Assisting clients with personal hygiene and getting dressed
• Assisting clients with housekeeping or other daily errands
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Observing and reporting on changes in the health or status of the client
• Preparing food and feeding clients
• Maintaining clients' health equipment
• Responding to emergency situations
• Administering medication
• Transporting clients to appointments
• Assisting clients with rehabilitative exercises
• Providing support with academic, social or recreational activities
