Home Share Provider Needed: White Rock / Surrey

The Sources Home Share Program provides a residential option to adults with developmental disabilities who are looking for a more natural care environment within the community.

Individuals share a home with matched, qualified and screened caregivers who provide ongoing support in all aspects of the individual’s life. SOURCES monitors the home to ensure quality care is being provided and individual needs are being met in order to enhance growth in skill development and independence.

Sources Community Resources Society is currently seeking a Home Share Provider in the White Rock – Surrey area to support an intelligent and outgoing 24-year-old young lady who requires support with all health-related needs.

Her hobbies include playing the piano, reading books, collecting movies, listening to music, coloring, and using technology. She enjoys making her own playlists and searching the internet. With the right caregiver she would enjoy exploring more and new hobbies! She has many talents and gifts, but what stands out the most is her positive attitude and attention to everyone around her.

She is independent; however, she has Cerebral Palsy on her right side. She has no use of her right hand and fingers, but she can move her arm and use it to hold things. Because of this she relies on equipment and support of others to complete day to day tasks.

Arrangement Preference: She is looking for a room within someone’s home that can give her the support and family inclusion that she needs. As well as to build up her independence and skills around the home!

Applicants must have experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and mobility issues. Applicants must also be able and willing to support with all health-related and personal care needs/supports. Individual will provide required equipment to make day to day living easier.

Requirements include – Adult Emergency First Aid and CPR, criminal record check, valid BC driver’s license and drivers abstract.
