Here’s the opportunity: Coordinator, Loan Portfolio

 

Reporting to the Manager, Loans Portfolio, the Coordinator, Loan Portfolio will contribute towards an accurate and balanced loan portfolio. You will be a part of the Finance & Loans team and will assist with processing and documenting various loan-related transactions, while adhering to the appropriate internal targets.

This is a permanent, part-time position (22.5 hours per week with flexibility on days). The incumbent will be working remotely (due to COVID) in the first instance and will then be located at our office in Toronto, Ontario, working within our hybrid work model. 

 

What you will do:

 

Maintain Integrity of the Loan Portfolio – 50%

  • Prepare files for loan disbursements
  • Ensure loan advancement by accurately uploading disbursement EFTs
  • Update all new files in CRM and TEA (loan processing system)
  • Prepare the yearly audit confirmation letters to the auditor and assist with the process as needed

Process and Document Loan-Related Transactions  – 30%

  • Process disbursements, write-offs and missed payments in loan system
  • Prepare write-off authorizations
  • Complete proof of claims to send to bankruptcy/consumer proposal trustees
  • Assist with reporting relating to month-over-month, write-off data

Support Internal and External Stakeholders  - 20 %

  • Monitor personal and loans email box to provide loan information to colleagues and young entrepreneurs within 24 hours
  • Provide support to Controller and Chief Finance Officer relating to loan portfolio reporting
  • Update statuses for paid-in-full and written off loans in CRM, and issue system generated paid letters to young entrepreneurs
  • Maintain the stakeholder relationship (TEA Common goals Software) and collaborate to improve system efficiencies

What you will have:

  • Relevant experience may include education with a focus in Finance, Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent hands-on career experience
  • 2 years experience in loan portfolio or business administration
  • Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy
  • Full proficiency in Microsoft Office - Intermediate level Excel skills, including dynamic spreadsheets and intermediate level skills with other MS Office software
  • Demonstrated experience in working with a client relationship management (CRM) system
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting internal and external client needs
  • Proven success working proactively both independently and as part of a team
  • Track record of contributing ideas and implementing process improvements
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, responding to multiple queries and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingualism in French & English (spoken & written) is a strong asset
  • Experience and/or passion for Futurpreneur’s mission and the entrepreneurial ecosystem is an asset.
