Capacity Building Facilitator - African, Caribbean, and Black (ACB) Lead
HIV Edmonton is an inclusive and dynamic community-based organization devoted to working with the whole community ensuring; that community is aware of HIV and AIDS, there are no new HIV infections, people living with HIV and AIDS live longer, healthier lives free of stigma, and everyone affected by HIV receives the services and support they need without barriers or discrimination.
Key Responsibilities of the Prevention and Education team is to facilitate prevention and awareness activities and workshops that provide support and information to diverse communities. This involves working closely with three communities disproportionality affected by HIV; Indigenous, gbMSM (gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men), and ACB (African, Caribbean and Black) to increase community capacity to address issues associated with HIV and AIDS.
The incumbent in this position will be the “go-to person” as it relates to engaging and working collaboratively with ACB Communities and Health Care Professionals and Service Providers that serve all these communities. This includes, but is not limited to:
Additional responsibilities include assisting with the management of educational resources and participating in ongoing program development and reporting.
People living with HIV and AIDS and/or have extensive experience working with ACB communities are encouraged to apply.
Salary: $46,000.00 - $49,000.00 per annum with a comprehensive benefit package.
