Job Summary: The Trusteeship Worker is responsible for providing financial support and assistance for youth within the Trusteeship Program. The Trusteeship Worker works with financial institutions, employment support, income assistance, employers, banks, and creditors to ensure effective service delivery for youth. The Trusteeship worker will also liaise with other agencies and facilitate workshops and seminars related to financial management and literacy.
Wage/Compensation: $46,000 annual salary, comprehensive group medical insurance plan, Employee and Family Assistance Program, RRSP contribution, three weeks of vacation in the first year and four in the second, generous sick leave, a generous paid holiday schedule, in-house trainings, and professional development opportunities.
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with some flexibility and occasional evening and weekend work.
Location: Phoenix Centre for Youth, (6035 Coburg Road, Halifax, Nova Scotia).
Reports to: Manager, Phoenix Centre for Youth
Screening Requirements: Due to the sensitive nature of our work with youth, this position is subject to a satisfactory criminal record check including a vulnerable sector search, a child abuse register check and proof of education.
