Position Details:   Seasonal Full-Time, 35 hours per week for 8 weeks (daytime hours Monday – Friday)

Total Hours:          280                      

Compensation:     $15.00/hour      

Start Date:          June 6, 2022

Summary of Responsibilities:  The Website & Digital Intern assists in the updating, maintaining, and monitoring of content on Caledon Community Services’ various websites to reflect up-to-date information on Covid-19 protocols and access to services.  Working with the Communications and Marketing Team, the Website & Digital Intern will:

  • Provide assistance via the use of content management software to edit and update content and graphics on all CCS websites;
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of a site content plan that will clearly communicate changes in CCS protocols and access to service in response to COVID-19;
  • Assist with the monitoring and maintenance of all sites to ensure changes made still effectively communicate the CCS brand and recommend and implement enhancements to improve user experience; Assist with monitoring web analytics and site performance;
  • Work with CMS and website design platforms and programming languages;
  • Assist with digital advertising programs.
  • Collaborate with CCS departments on content development and data collection;
  • Other duties assigned to assist the program.

Summary of Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary field of study (degree, diploma or working towards) that would be an asset to this position: Computer Science, Digital Marketing, Web Development, Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design or related field; 
  • Advanced MS Office 365 skills required including SharePoint and One Drive;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, website design, maintenance, HTML/CSS, basic coding, embedding, SEO optimization, digital marketing, building landing pages, UI/UX, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards;
  • Knowledge of content management systems such as WordPress, CRAFT, SquareSpace, Radiant, and akaRaisin an asset; Understanding of domain registration, maintenance and upkeep;
  • Familiarity with applied Themes and plug-ins; Up to date knowledge of website best practices.
  • Exceptional communications skills, written and oral, are essential;
  • Able to work independently and as a member of a team;
  • Police records check will be required.
