About Us

We (Pathways Clubhouse) are a community based non-profit registered charity serving adults in the Lower Mainland who are living with mental health challenges.  We are located in Richmond, BC and currently have over 300 active members, an average daily attendance of over 70, 25 employees, and are open every day of the year.

We pride ourselves in offering hope, encouragement and opportunities to our members.  The services we presently offer include pre-vocational, employment, volunteering, housing, education, physical wellness, social, and public mental health education.  Our unique model provides a barrier-free collegial environment where members and staff work together to accomplish the work of the Clubhouse.

About You

As a Program Staff, reporting to the Program Manager, Food and Fun Unit, you will be responsible for the effective delivery of support and services to members of Pathways Clubhouse, with a particular focus on planning and preparation of daily meals for our lunch program as well as facilitating recreation opportunities for members.

You will typically work 36-hour week, 5 days a week between Monday and Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm and are available to work evenings, weekends and statutory holidays as needed.

  • Studies in Social Services or Mental Health fields or an equivalent combination of related education and experience working with people with mental health conditions. Acquired degree or diploma is an asset
  • Sound knowledge of mental health issues and social services available in Canada
  • Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license
  • Access to reliable vehicle or willing to drive Clubhouse van
  • Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 1 or equivalent and CPR or able to acquire certification
  • Safe Talk training or able to acquire it
  • Satisfactory completion of a Criminal Record Check

As our Clubhouse is accredited through Clubhouse International, part of your responsibility will be to ensure we continue to uphold the requirements of our accreditation, and standards. You are comfortable working side-by-side with staff and members in a generalist role where you will have the opportunity to lead and participate in a variety of activities across the breadth of our offerings.  You will work a minimum 36-hour week, within Monday through Friday 8:30am-4:00pm.  As the role involves driving members and staff to events and activities, you will have access to a reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance.  You will also hold Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 1 or equivalent and CPR.  Since you will be working with a vulnerable sector, you understand the requirement for the satisfactory completion of a Criminal Records Check.
