The Organization:

The Village at Stonebridge offers independent retirement living in a vibrant, active and safe community that offers 159 suites for independent seniors in addition to an intermediate care home.

The Position:

The housekeeper is responsible for the weekly evening cleaning of the building’s common areas from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (subject to change) following a rotation of:

•    Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
•    Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
•    Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
•    Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

Duties include: vacuuming of carpets, cleaning linoleum floors, cleaning bathrooms and light dusting.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Minimum of a grade 10 education (preferably grade 12)
• Previous housekeeping experience
• WHMIS training (required within three months of employment)
• Able to operate all housekeeping equipment
• Able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently
• Ability to work unsupervised, and be physically able to handle all job duties.
