The Role
The Animal Health Summer Student, Veterinary Helper will contribute to departmental organization by assisting with administrative related duties. They will contribute to shelter animal wellbeing by assisting the medical team members with animal restraint, handling, VMA surgery duties, and other duties as described. This position will ensure the medical department maintains a high level of care, organization, and humane treatment of all animals.

Skills and Abilities
As the ideal candidate, you will have a passion for people, performance and diversity (within lens of animal welfare. You have excellent communications skills (both verbal and written), ability to work independently and in fast paced environment.
You are comfortable dealing with animals of all species and temperaments.
Compensation/Hours
Compensation: $15.00 an hour.
Hours: 40 hours a week.
