The newly developed Wellness Coach role is perfect for individuals who can create authentic connections and inspire trust in those around them.  This new and rewarding employment opportunity is a career-enhancing experience where you will demonstrate your ability to build relationships and support women in wellness-based activities.  The Transitional Housing model at WEAC operates on the cycle of the day, drawing inspiration from the recovery motto of “one day at a time”.

What you bring to the team:
  • You bring 1+ years of experience working with marginalized populations.
  • You possess a minimum of a Two-Year Diploma in Human Services.
  • You have a proven ability to practice relational-based approaches.
  • You are able to embed in your work the practices of harm reduction, person-centered, trauma-informed, and strength-based care.
  • You are able to remain confident and calm. This work may involve de-escalating crisis situations with individuals under the influence of drugs or alcohol or experiencing a mental health crisis.
Important work you will do at e4c:
  • Utilize your knowledge and understanding of the four dimensions of wellness to create goal-oriented care plans with a focus on helping the women of WEAC build and develop wellness practices in the evenings and weekends.
  • You will use both formal & informal opportunities to help the women develop long term wellness practices.  This can include one on one conversations and group sessions.
  • You will use a person centered, relational practice, trauma sensitive, and harm reduction framework to create a safe and welcoming environment.
  • You will work with the women of WEAC, in Transitional Housing beds, and help assist with their pathway to housing.
  • You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team ensuring that the women receive effective wrap-around support and services.
  • You will leverage your ability to connect with people to ensure accurate and timely documentation regarding the women's progress or changing circumstances.

Rotational schedule of four (4) shifts on 3 pm -12 am four (4) shifts off.
