Friends of the Great Commission Foundation (FGC) is searching for the right person to fill a part-time permanent bookkeeping position. This position will grow to full-time. Apply today if you would enjoy doing bookkeeping work in a supportive, Christian environment. This position is 25 hours weekly to start, working Monday - Friday.

The ideal candidate will have a passion to see the Great Commission of Jesus Christ fulfilled, and excels at administrative tasks including collecting, verifying, and entering data from multiple sources accurately and efficiently to maintain excellent records. He/She is responsible for accounts payable, grants, and transfers. This position also includes administrative tasks relating to donations processing, donations entry, and database entry to ensure effective and efficient operations. This role handles highly confidential material and therefore requires an individual who can manage this information in the utmost professional manner. In addition, the bookkeeper responds to Agent Representative inquiries on behalf of FGC Agents.




  • Receive and process donations (Including by phone call, mail, online, etc…)
  • Input data into donor-based software, spreadsheets, or other templates
  • Identify, label and organize electronic storage media
  • Maintain libraries of electronic storage media
  • Make bank deposits, pick up and post mail


  • Granting funds between FGC and Great Commission Foundation (GCF)
  • Preparing and processing invoices and expense claims for payment via EFT, wire, or check
  • Tracking and processing payments with various deadlines
  • Respond to Agent Representative inquiries, contributing to good customer relations through problem solving
  • Perform related clerical duties including data entry, maintaining file and record systems, scanning and emailing


  • Import and/or export data between different kinds of software
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of data
  • Comply with policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and security


  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential
  • Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Effective problem solver and team player who enjoys learning and contributing to team goals
  • Proficient in relevant computer applications such as MS Office including Excel
  • Accurate keyboard skills and ability to enter data quickly
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Information collection, recording, and management skills


  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Blackbaud knowledge or database experience is an asset (not required)
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping & accounting principles
  • Five years experience in an office setting
  • Two years experience in customer service
