Evergreen is hiring a Project Manager, Facilities & Operations to support our lively Evergreen Brick Works (EBW) campus. EBW is a community hub and gathering place; a place to connect with nature and engage in the broad array of programs Evergreen offers. We are looking for an enthusiastic, service-oriented person with a knack for building relationships, and a talent for managing dynamic spaces.

About the Role:

The Project Manager, Facilities & Operations plays a critical role in the planning, execution and evaluation of site-based projects. A multi-tasker, with insight into multiple projects at any given time, the Project Manager helps to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and in line with Evergreen’s Facilities and Visitor Experience plans. To achieve these goals, the Project Manager will work with others to define and refine project requirements, scope, and organize day-to-day operations.

With a can-do attitude, and the experience to know when to work independently and when to seek the guidance of others, the Project Manager works across the Facilities and Visitor Experience team, and the organization as a whole, to maintain site standards of excellence.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Facilities and Visitor Experience teams to track activities throughout the project lifecycle, including scheduling, documenting and budgeting.
  • Plan and execute on project timelines, milestones, deliverables, using the appropriate software tools and applicable project management methods.
  • Monitor progress of projects and work with others to adjust plans as needed.
  • Work with Facilities and Visitor Experience team to create contingency plans to mitigate risk.
  • Produce regular status reports on the progress of projects, solving problems strategically, recommending solutions and engaging others as required.
  • Maintain effective, cooperative working relationships and liaise with internal (Programs, Visitor Experience, Events, Development etc.) and external stakeholders (consultants, trades etc.).
  • Maintain the flow of information and documentation efficiently including document tracking, reviewing, securing clearances, permits, and approvals.
  • Manage, update and maintain central repository of project documents (Sharepoint, Wrike etc.)
  • Strong analytical, customer service and relationship building skills with attention to detail and ability to problem solve
  • Ensure accuracy of project budget, including tracking invoices and variances for monthly review.
  • Assist in developing and tracking procedures including emergency protocols and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist the Facilities and Visitor Experience team with administrative tasks (agreements, create purchase orders etc).
  • Work with Facilities Manager to coordinate effective scheduling and preparedness for site-based activities, including the scheduling of Site Stewards and cleaning staff.
  • Help ensure resources are directed towards highest priority projects to ensure a continued standard of excellence across the site.
  • Contribute to positive workplace culture and great internal communication.

About You:

You have the following qualifications:

  • A degree or certification in a relevant field (architecture, engineering, construction management, or business is preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working for a firm in a project management capacity
  • PMP certification required
  • Advanced computer skills required in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Teams), Wrike or other project management software
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication for liaising with all stakeholders
  • Ability to read and analyze permit drawings, floor plans and other renderings
  • Experience working with consultants and contractors

Reporting Relationships:

  • Supervised by: Facilities Manager 

Working Conditions:

  • Position is based out of Evergreen’s head office at Evergreen Brick Works in Toronto
  • Remote and office environment, with on-the-ground presence required
  • Regular office hours are flexible, but work will include some weekends, holidays and/or evenings


  • Permanent, full-time
  • Target Hire Range: $58,000 - $65,000 annually
