BCCNM is seeking a Director of Inquiry, Discipline & Monitoring. In this role, you will direct and manage a skilled team conducting investigations, performing intake and triage, and compliance monitoring functions, and serve the College’s mandate of protection of the public through thoughtful and thorough inspection and inquiry.

BCCNM is the college empowered under the Health Professions Act to regulate the practice of all licensed practical nurses, nurse practitioners, registered midwives, registered nurses, and registered psychiatric nurses in British Columbia. Regulation helps to protect the public by ensuring that professional care or service received by the public is competent, ethical, and meets the standards that society views as acceptable.

Reporting to the Executive Director/Deputy Registrar, Inquiry, Discipline & Monitoring (ED/DR, IDM), the Director, IDM, provides managerial oversight and leadership to the staff responsible for:
The Director will also engage in direct program and file work ranging from complex file analysis, facilitation with complainants and third parties, and continuing improvement initiatives. The Director provides general regulatory policy and program guidance, including the stewardship of program data to achieve the strategic and operational goals and objectives of the College.
