Administrative Assistant – Regulatory Department

Contribute to improving mental health in BC communities. We’re the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), and we’re here to help families and individuals navigate life, through all stages of the life experience. Founded in 1988, we are a professional association representing over 5,500 Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCCs) in our province. Every counsellor who receives this designation has met specific education and training criteria and has committed themselves to practice according to an ethical code of conduct and standards of practice.

Our mission is to provide safe and effective counselling to the public and to ensure that our counsellors are well-resourced and supported in their important work.

 

About the Position

Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources and Administration and the Registrar, this new role reflects our growth and development over the last few years. As our Administrative Assistant – Regulatory Department, you will work in both the Registration and Inquiry areas of our
Association.

Supporting the Regulatory Department with various administrative tasks, some of your daily assignments will include:

-Monitoring the applications inbox
-Drafting/emailing communications to members and public
-Electronic filing/scanning
-Creating and set up of templates
-Support the ongoing maintenance of the complaint tracking system
-Assisting new applicants – guide and answer queries
-Annual insurance audits – phoning, emailing, tracking and reporting

Qualifications

  • Graduation from a recognized related post-secondary program
  • 2 – 5 years’ experience working in a professional environment
  • Technically savvy
  • Sound judgement
  • Incredible organizational skills
  • Resilient and flexible
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong proof-reading skills
  • Ruthless prioritization
  • Strong communication and excellent writing and speaking skills
  • Comfortable using MS Office, Outlook, Microsoft teams and CRM database software

This is a full time (35 hours/week) permanent position, working in beautiful Victoria, BC and reporting to BCACC’s Manager, Human Resources and Administration and Registrar. Our staff works partly from our Head Office and partly from home.

You’ll earn a competitive salary ($53 – 55K annually based on experience), with generous benefits, RRSP matching, a wellness fund, and professional development fund. Vacation will start at 3 weeks.
