Position Description

The User Experience Facilitator promotes, recruits, and supports participant use of online professional skills training courses. Working with a small team, the position will be responsible for managing the entire client experience with YWCA Hamilton’s Uplift Digital Learning platform. The role requires collaboration with YWCA Hamilton community partners and external consultants to recruit and onboard training clients, as well as to provide client support and evaluate their experiences to improve the training platform. The successful candidate has experience in client services with a focus on digital outreach and recruitment and has technological competencies across multiple platforms, devices, and digital resources.

  • Works collaboratively to design an overall digital learning plan;
  • Promotes digital learning opportunities to potential audiences;
  • Recruits participants for digital learning opportunities;
  • Collaborates with YWCA Hamilton Employment and Training staff to facilitate online training opportunities;
  • Coordinates with the Application provider to onboard digital learning participants;
  • Develops methods to evaluate user experience trends and understand training demand;
  • Provides technical and experience support to digital learning participants;
  • Ensures that policies and procedures are up to date, and that best practices are incorporated at all time
  • Maintains accurate records, statistics and evaluation information related to the activities undertaken and outcomes achieved; reporting results to Project lead;
  • Supports YWCA Hamilton mission, vision and values;
  • Performs other duties as required.


  • Works a standard 37.5 hours work week


  • An undergraduate degree or diploma, preferable in in education, business, digital marketing, IT or data management related field is an asset;
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in digital client service or other technology related support role;
  • Advanced technology and digital literacy skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a multidisciplinary team and partners;
  • An understanding of the importance of user-centered design and design thinking;
  • Ability to obtain an acceptable minimal level of academic mastery of the educational subject matter being curated, in order to ensure high-quality appraisal and selection of assets;
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects at the same time, prioritize tasks, identify and mitigate risks, and meet tight deadlines while still maintaining high-quality work;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and collaboration skills;
  • Must provide a current Criminal Record Judicial Matters Police check or willingness to obtain at own cost;
  • Must have current Emergency First Aid and CPR certificate or willing to obtain at own cost;
  • Must be able to work from a feminist, anti-racist/anti-oppressive perspective;
  • Bilingual English/French or other languages an asset.
