Community-based respite provides support to families of Children and Youth with special needs either in the home of the individual or within the community.
Respite Care is supervisory care and support to an individual with the intent of providing rest and rejuvenation for the primary caregiver.
Respite visits generally are needed after school, evenings, and overnights or on a weekend basis and shifts are a minimum of three hours. However, a more flexible schedule can be designed to meet the needs of the family and caregiver availability.
Skills & Attributes
Experience supporting children who have intellectual disabilities and education an asset.
Ability to provide care and supervision according to the care which meets the individual child’s needs at a private home, or within the community.
Responsible, caring, enthusiastic, and energetic
Speaks English, or a multi cultural language

Provide safe supervised care to individuals
Can work flexible hours, shifts are 4+ hours per week weekdays, evenings, or weekend day or evenings
Rate: $20.00 - 23.00 /hour
